​Introduction :We are a small group of children with big dreams in our eyes to change the world for better. Since 2013, Power of Peace (POP Group) has been serving the under privileged children of our global family with a "For the Kids, By the Kids" motto.


History and progress : In 2013, five young children (10-13 year old) came together to start a platform which will not only serve the community but will also inspire young children around the world to be involved in community service from young age. Primary focus of this platform is to serve medically and socially underprivileged children here in USA and India. Today we are 22 member strong team and have inspired a sister organization in NJ. 


Mission and Vision: To promote peace through community service and inspire children around the world to become socially responsible as early as they can. Peace is ours to have.

Goals :
​Promote Peace 
1. By Eradicating Hunger among underprivileged children.
2. By Providing better living conditions to medically and socially underprivileged children.
3. By enabling underprivileged kids to succeed in future through education and health.


Fundraising :  We host 2 notable events in the year for fundraising purposes. One is in summer which is a talent show  for kids where kids from all walk of life come and perform. Second one is in winter where we invite reputed dance groups, musician and singer to come and perform.  The events end with a dinner. There is no tickets for the event but donation is recommended. 

Apart from this we go and put our stalls in different community events in state throughout the year to spread awareness and raise funds. We also do bake sales and penny drives in our schools.


Volunteering : Hosting events requires significant amount of work but also a great opportunity to build many organizational, teamwork, leadership, public speaking and relationship management skills. From ideation to organization to invitation to stage managing to master of ceremonies to annual reporting to reception; everything is done by POP kids.  POP kids go and do volunteer work at local community events, food share,  soup kitchens, community farms and educational events in addition to hosting talent shows and charity dinner events.

Our talent shows, community events and charity  events have raised more than $ 95,000  since 2013 which has allowed us to help kids at 


  • Hole In the Wall Gang Camp, Ashford, CT  ( Camp founded by Paul Newman for severely ill children)
  • Connecticut Children Hospital, Hartfrd, CT ( Haemotology and Oncology research center)
  • Foodshare, Bloomfield, CT
  • Atma Vidya Orphanage,  Bangalore, India (100 orphan kids in an orphange)

Foundation History

2013 -  A group of 6 friends came together to establish power of peace. One founder member moves to India.

            POP hosted first annual talent show for kids which raised over $7k. More than 20 individual/teams displayed their talent.

2014 -  POP successfully hosted second annual talent show for kids which raised $5k and had 22 individual/teams displaying their talent.

2015 -  POP Group hosted a charity dinner even filled with music and dance and raised over $22k.

2016 -  POP Group hosted a charity dinner even filled with music and dance and raised over $40k.
